Monica Smith
Founder & Principal Talent Buyer
Monica Smith is the driving force behind Belle City Entertainment, offering a decade of experience from both the agency and talent buyer sides of the industry. This dual perspective gives her clients unparalleled insight and leverage.
Since 2018, Monica has led the venue division of Midwood Entertainment, overseeing programming for an average of eight venues and executing over 250 bookings annually. Her expertise is further solidified by eight years in contract administration, including a role as Director of Operations for Broadway and Beyond Theatricals, ensuring every negotiation is optimized and every contract is sound.
Monica takes pride in her collegial relationships with both clients and the agent community, a network she actively maintains by attending national conferences like APAP and IEBA. This shared enthusiasm for live entertainment ensures a positive, collaborative experience and a tailor-made approach to cut through the booking hassle and maximize your venue's potential.

Kirsten Simmons
Director of Operations
Kirsten Simmons brings more than twenty-six years of stage management and live entertainment experience to the role. Known for steady leadership and sharp operational instincts, she oversees daily operations, contract negotiation and execution, and ensures seamless fulfillment across all events.
Before joining Belle City, Kirsten spent three and a half years at Midwood Entertainment, working side by side with Monica and strengthening her expertise in touring, talent relations, and live event coordination.
Her background also includes serving as Executive Assistant at Nederlander Worldwide Entertainment, where she supported international theatrical initiatives, and working as the Senior Events Coordinator at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, helping deliver large-scale cultural and community programming. With deep experience across theater and live events, Kirsten is recognized for her professionalism, collaborative spirit, and dedication to delivering exceptional experiences for artists, partners, and audiences alike.
